ReplyDeleteA lovely quilt and a lovely story. I've been without my mother for almost 20 years and I still miss her terribly. Hugs
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful trubute to your mother and your sister. I think I see why that skirt was your mom's favorite. When I look at it I think "Comfort Colors" kind of like comfort food only instead of the feeling in your tummy you just have to look at it and it relaxes you. And the center piece is beautiful and a great color contrast to the border! What a very special Mini! take care, cw
ReplyDeleteWendy, this is such a tender post. That was a perfect fabric for the center of this gift for your sister, and a lovely gesture to use your Mom's favorite skirt fabric to make the frame. I can relate to this on many levels.
ReplyDeleteWhat a tender, sweet quilt Wendy!
