there's no stopping me now! I promise you won't see any non quilting related posts from me. This is strictly a way for me to share some of my work with all of you who have been so generous in sharing your wonderful quilting adventures. I don't do any other social media so I hope I can be consistent in posting without taking up too much of my quilting time. I still work full time outside of my home so, as with many of you in Blogland, my quilting time is precious. Here is a photo of a little quilt I made this spring with 1" hexagons and that fabulous Dutch print border. It won Judges Choice at our show in Maine in July.
I have never liked hexagons that much but I got hooked while on a long weekend trip and I just can't seem to stop making them! This is all English pieced and hand quilted.
just beautiful, wow! sure deserved that ribbon!

DeleteWas quilting over all those seams in the hexagon quilt difficult? I can't figure out if I want to quilt around the hexagon or through it when I get ready to take the plunge.
ReplyDeleteI actually quilted through the centers thus avoiding the little nasty seam allowances, and then echo quilted the border. Fun to make!
DeleteThat is fabulous, Wendy! It;s so beautiful. I invite you to link it to Hexie Weekend (ends Monday, midnight) and share this lovely with more hexie lovers. I came here from Busy Thimble and so glad I did.
