A little Reminder...

Cyndi (Busy Thimble) and I invite all of you to our “Small Quilts from Antique Inspirations” exhibition at Maine Quilts 2016, July 28 -31 at the Augusta Civic Center, Augusta, Maine.

We have some fantastic antique quilts and amazing little reproductions. I finally finished mine and Cyndi is heading down the home stretch. Apparently, we both work best under pressure! She is reproducing a Maine potholder quilt and it is truly remarkable! Check it out (here).

This is the antique I chose to reproduce.

And here is my little baby.

I had a lot of fun hand quilting those little clamshells!

There will be over 600 quilts at the show this year! You won’t want to miss it. We will be posting photos after the show, so if you can’t make it to Maine, stay tuned.

  4. Wow! It promises to be an amazing show. If I had a magic transporter I'd be there in a flash! Your reproduction is so true to the original. I love all the details like the stripey bias, beautiful quilting and that shade of blue is so pretty.

  5. Wishing I was coming to Maine to see your quilt in person. It's remarkable and the tiny little clams are wonderful. Your interpretation is fantastic and the vine cut from that stripe is pure delight. Take lots of pictures.

    1. Yes, I bought it because it was so unique. It just doesn't look like a Maine quilt to me. Hope you can make it!
