This month’s project from PamBuda’s Vintage Patchwork is called “Little Women”. It is a sweet one for sure.
I did simple machine quilting in the ditch as I wanted to get it done in time
to send it off as soon as I finished it.
I sent 8 of my monthly mini quilts
(posted previously on my blog) to the Hopes and Dreams quilt challenge for ALS.
I have lost two friends to
this dreaded disease in the past few years and I want to do all I can to help
this project. I found out about it in a pamphlet in a package of Quilters Dream
wool batting. You can make a quilt for an ALS patient or send a mini quilt to
be sold to raise funds. The information is on their website (here). Count each day as a blessing.
The colors in your little quilt really make it shine. I didn't know about the ALS fundraiser but appreciate the information. I was sad to see a similar one for Alzheimers end. I would like to contribute a small quilt to be used to raise some funds.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is darling, and what a generous gift to the Hopes and Dreams Challenge. I previously had not heard of this. I have a few lap quilts in the works presently, and will put them on the list.

ReplyDeleteso so cute! perfect contrast and can't wrong with such nice shirtings!
ReplyDeleteWhat has happened to potholder style quilt making? I don't know how well that would work for mini quilts. Probably easier on a small piece just to do it as a whole.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely little quilt - I really like the combination of pinwheels and flying geese. It's going to a great cause, too.
