C1880 Home and Bound!

My C1880 quilt is back from the quilter. I was going to hand quilt the Baptist Fan using Barb’s (Fun With Barb) fabulous stencil. I contemplated all those tiny little seams and decided my needles (and my fingers) couldn’t take all that pressure. My friend, Kathy the Wonder Quilter found a perfect Baptist Fan for the longarm and worked her magic. I think it has that traditional look I was going for. I used this fabulous print on the back with all my favorite colors.
Kathy's quilting really makes it sing. 

Thanks Pam, Janet, Cyndi and all of you who traveled along on the C1880 journey. I haven’t decided on a name yet. I’m leaning toward, “With a Little Help from My friends” but that seems a little wordy. And, in reality it should be “With a LOT of Help from My Friends”! What do you think?

    Yea! Your quilt is beautiful and the quilting pattern was the perfect choice. Your blocks and "the friends" blocks are little tiny masterpieces. Having the quilt machine quilting will give you more time to enjoy it finished!

    I am so excited to see your finish! It looks wonderful, Wendy, and encourages me that the Baptist Fans are the way to go. No way would I hand quilt this with all of the seams, but I am going to attempt to machine quilt it myself--unless I get incredibly frustrating and quilt by check in the end. :)

    I love the Baptist Fan quilting design. Unfortunately, the two local all over design quilters in my area do not want to do the Baptist Fan pattern.

    What a fabulous finish! "With a Lot of Help from My Friends" is the perfect name for your quilt. The Baptist Fan quilting was a great choice and I love that backing fabric, too :)

    Such teeny tiny blocks! This is gorgeous! The quilting is perfect for it, and long arm quilting for a big busy quilt is best!
