Apparently, a "foulard" and my money are soon parted,

as I seem to have thousands of them in my sewing room.

Here are my two "foulard" stars.

Oops, why didn't I notice that mismatched seem before? Oh well, what would a nineteenth century quilter do? Leave it of course!

And here are my friend Karen's blocks. She is all caught up now!
They are great!

Thanks for letting me share them Karen!
Happy Quilting!

  1. You've both done a great job with the stars! I'm not participating but am learning a lot just from reading along. I especially like the orange star!

    1. Thanks Mayleen. I like the wonkiness of the orange star. Normally I would fix it but not this time!

  4. I do not see a mismatched seam. I was studying the Ohio Miami Valley book about the antique quilts this morning. Noticed how many of the blocks were just cut off wherever to make them fit into a space. And how much I love the look.

  6. Your stars are very handsome and so are Karen's. Are you two sharing any stash? Or just finding your own ways? What fun to see a friend's stars in reality and not just a photograph. BTW, I think that your purple glows in the dark, LOL!

    1. We share our stash constantly. Twice last week in fact. It is lots of fun to paw through other people's fabrics.

    1. I try to be a bit whimsical in my titles so that people know I'm crazy! Have fun with your trunk show. Wish I could go!
