I had fun making these little
“Cake Stand” - basket blocks in Cecile (Patchwork Inspirations) sew-a-long. It's hard to believe I actually finished on time!
I hand quilted the center and
machine quilted around the little cake stands. I used one of my favorite Di
Ford fabrics on the back.
I’m calling this one
“Fruitcake”. Thanks Cecile for a really fun sew-a-long. You can see all the
wonderful variations on the Facebook page (here).
I love the names that you come up with for your wonderful quilts. It's s beautiful finish and a great way to have used one of the panels. The broderie perse and hand quilting were the perfect ideas for the center.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt. What a great panel. Hugs

Wow! What a wonderful finish! Love how you have placed the baskets around that beautiful center. And alternating the frame colors around the baskets is such a beautiful effect. Perfect backing choice. You will need to display the back occasionally, too. It is so pretty!
