I wasn’t really happy with it
even though I love the Betsy Chutchian fabric in the center.
So, I tried cheddar and a
more tealy blue. I have always loved this Mary Koval fabric in the center.
Now
that step two has been posted, I’m not sure if I like either of my choices. I’ll
have to sleep on it (or under it)!
I like them both but leaning more towards the cheddar.
ReplyDeleteWendy, they are both pretty great! I'm partial to yellow and blue although I think the cheddar is great. If you want to unload either of them, I'll happily take them off your hands~~
ReplyDeleteI agree that part 2 is changing how I view my fabric choices... I picked a gorgeous toile for the center but it's NOT on point. GRRR
I like both but especially the yellow and blue. I'm not very good with mysteries - it's tricky to make choices when you don't know what comes next.

ReplyDeleteMaybe you could make a big quilt using these as blocks. I think they are great. I think it would have been good for people to know it would be on point - but that's part of the mystery right?

ReplyDeleteI used the Betsy C. fabric in placemats and it worked so well. I like the Mary K. fabric you used in the center of the second mini. I had not seen it before.
ReplyDeleteboth very nice but then they both have blue....tee hee...and the yellow/green applique at the AQSG bed turning..is that cotton boll? saw on barb veddar's blog...
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of the second block, but, like you, I would be uncertain about using it simply because of the next step. I hesitate to participate in mystery quilts. I want to know in advance which fabrics, colors, and arrangements of those two to use. I'll be interested to see what you decide.
