Pot Luck Anyone?

While we are all waiting for pot luck picnics in the summer sun, I decided to unearth my numerous orphan blocks and make "potholder potluck" number 3. I named my last one "Sourdough" because for some strange reason, when the quilt was finished, I ended up with more orphan blocks than I started with.

I am using printed patchwork (cheater prints) on the back

So far it measures 32" and if all goes according to plan, it will be 80" in the end. That should be the end of the orphans, but then...

  4. Love that you named the previous orphan quilt Sourdough. Yep, who knows how we end up with more blocks than we start with when using orphan blocks. And, Sourdough describes it to a t. Great job.

  5. Where do you find so many cheater prints? You do have quite the selection. Your center looks wonderful.

    1. I've been collecting them for years. Every time I see one I snatch it up. And, my friends now bring me cheaters whenever they see them. It is never ending and oh so much fun!

  9. I have to ask, is there ever REALLY an end to the orphans?? :)
This is such a fun idea, Wendy. I love what you have so far, centered around the Mosaic tile. You've even got a bit of Circa 1880 in there. Do you have a name for this one yet? What else keeps on giving? Friendship bread, zucchini, the common cold? Oh, wait--that isn't food related. LOL

    1. I think you are right, the orphans never end! I am going to call this one "stash hash". I was going to call the last one that, but it ended up being sourdough because it seemed like the block collection was growing!
