Spatial Relationships

Thought I would share my “spatial relationships” with my “special relationships” (all my new friends in Blogland that is).

This is my “work station” where I sit each morning before heading off to work or weekend frivolities. Since November 8, I have begun the day (thanks to Audrey at Quilty Folk) by appliquing a little feedsack circle onto a 4 ½” square.

Then I move on to whatever is on the schedule for that day. Today it is the next block (Stars in the East) in the Shenandoah Valley Botanical Album sew-a-long.

And under my Quilty 365 tin is the tin (formerly filled with Whitman’s sampler chocolates!) with my 50 weight DMC applique thread. (oh my, I guess the cleaning fairy missed a few scrids on the floor while dusting yesterday!)

Hope you enjoy your morning (and evening) stitching.

  4. Your space looks very cozy! Nice to have everything handy. I have not tried the DMC thread. I have been using YLI silk and I like it except I seem to accidentally unthread my needle with it a lot.

  5. What a cozy space for starting your day. Your sampler tin has a marvelous colorful collection of DMC thread. It's nice to have everything so handy so you can get some stitching done in just a little bit of time. Love the colors in your next applique block.

  7. Ooh I would be happy to get that tin of threads from my husband instead of chocolates! Good idea to stitch before leaving the house. Rather like a leaders and enders quilt!

  8. I just found your blog, and I think we could be Kindred spirits, as Anne, with an "E" would say.

  12. I enjoyed seeing your spatial relations- looks very comfortable and I spot a potholder there too! I have a side table by the lounge that looks a lot like that...trouble is it all keeps spreading across other surfaces too. Your new block is so pretty - wow I just LOVE the fabrics - makes mine look so drab!
