Busy????

I find myself frequently blurting out, “I’d love to but, I’m so busy!”. The first 3 blogs I read this morning started with the same feeling, “why is time flying by so fast?”.

Since I have nothing new to show today, I will share the center of one of my favorite quilts (made in 2000). I hope you get the chance to dip your toes in the water and drink in the summer sunshine until we meet again. I think we could all benefit from a little “slow” time!

  1. I think we are all so busy because we say no to the wrong things. Lots of folks would rather be busy than slow down and really listen to what they need.

  2. Happy Trails!!!That's my favorite song. I do have some Roy Rogers memorabilia in my studio and two RR quilts. Yes, I understand busy-ness.

  3. I loved Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Trigger and Bullet. Today was a slow day. Played Nana with two of my sweet grands and I'm heading to an evening concert at the park. Wish all days could be like that.

  4. Surprisingly, and even though I applique most days, this summer has been sweet and slow. I don't seem to have as many demands as I used to (or I handle them better). I'm not as hard on myself either. For as long as it lasts, I'm going to enjoy it. Loved your Happy Trails quilt. It brings back a lot of happy memories.

  5. Oh, what a sweet quilt.
This summer is whizzing past me as I deal with senior parent care, house guests, and family health issues. I could use a happy trail about now! LOL

  11. Hi Wendy, Thanks for displaying your wonderful quilt ! It's beautifully done and brings back many happy memories of television shows of our childhood.
It seems that every year, the days zoom by faster and faster, especially in summer. Thanks again, with blessings from Marina and Daryl
