Blockhead indeed!

When you have 10 minutes to sew and the block takes 15, this is what happens! It never pays to rush a job! I would like to say, “lesson learned”, but I know better. This is what it is supposed to look like!

But, row 5 of my ModaBlockheads quilt is now complete.
The pumpkin was really fun to make. I quilted leaves and vines around the outside.

Only 18 more weeks to go. I am really looking forward to Betsy Chutchian’s new line (Grace’s Garden) to come out so I can add them into the next few blocks.

  3. It's amazing how some of them are so easy to get turned around. I've only had one that I had trouble with, had to rip out and begin again and still didn't like it. Today I'm going to start on the little acorn. Such a fun experience to make all these little blocks.

  4. I think the simplest blocks are the ones that often trip us up. They appear so easy that we don't have to concentrate as much to make them, and errors occur. I think the block looked fine with the "boo-boo", but the remake is definitely more symmetrical.
    Beautiful quilting on the pumpkin!

  6. Oops! It's always the times when I feel the most rushed and am trying to be efficient when things like that happen!

  7. Yep, it happens, all too often around here, and triangles are always the culprit in my case! In fact I just finished 'unstitching' every one of my part 3 blocks for Lori's current quilt-along. Sigh ...

  8. Oh! I love the fabric combination for this block. It just hits all the right buttons. I've certainly made more work for myself by trying to hurry. . . numerous times.
